Inspired by the magical world of Oz and the hit movie Wicked, we’ve created a bubble tea drink that captures the unlikely (but perfect) friendship between Elphaba and Glinda. If you're a fan of matcha tea, milk tea, or exploring unique bubble tea recipes, this one's for you!
This "Matcha For Good" features the deep, earthy green of Elphaba’s signature matcha, topped with a cloud of Glinda’s pink strawberry cheese foam. It’s a literal "Popular" blend of flavors—sweet, creamy, and sophisticated. Whether you're a "Green Girl" at heart or you prefer to travel by bubble, this Matcha recipe is a tribute to the bond that changes us all for the better.
This isn’t just your average latte. We’ve combined traditional Japanese Matcha (the heart of many matcha latte and matcha bubble tea drinks) with a trendy, savory-sweet Strawberry Cheese Foam. The result? A vibrant, two-toned masterpiece that looks just as good as it tastes. It's an elevated milk tea experience that will impress any bubble tea lover.

Step:
Combine 15g cheese flavour topping cream powder and 15g strawberry powder in a shaker cup.
Add 100ml cold milk and use a milk frother to whisk until the mixture reaches a thick, velvety consistency.
Barista Tip: Store in the refrigerator to allow the foam to set; this ensures a sharp, distinct line between the pink and green layers during service.
Whisk 5g of pure Japanese Matcha powder into 50ml of 80°C water using a frother until fully emulsified and smooth.
Incorporate 20ml sugar syrup and 150ml milk, stirring thoroughly with a bar spoon to create a rich, consistent base.
Base: Add tapioca pearls or chosen bubble tea toppings to the serving cup.
Chill: Fill the cup with ice.
Pour: Gently pour the matcha milk tea mixture over the ice.
Layer: Float the Strawberry Cheese Foam over the matcha base.
Finish: Garnish with a light sprinkle of matcha powder and seal with a dome lid.
