No summer menu is truly complete without a sophisticated, sparkling option. The Alcohol-Free Alternative: Virgin Strawberry Mojito Bubble Tea brings a refreshing, upscale cocktail lounge feel directly to your café counter. It is a massive hit for sunny weekends, evening crowds, and customers looking for a crisp, bubbly alternative to traditional milk teas.
The best part about this drink? It is incredibly versatile. While it is designed as a premium, family-friendly mocktail, you can easily offer it as an alcoholic option by adding a shot of white rum if your venue holds an alcohol licence!
Here is how your baristas can mix and muddle this refreshing classic in both regular (500ml) and large (700ml) sizes.
Stock your bar with these fresh ingredients and wholesale essentials:
Boba Buzz Strawberry Flavoured Syrup
Strawberry Popping Boba (Highly recommended to mimic the muddled fruit texture!)
Fresh mint leaves
Fresh lemons (sliced)
Fresh, juicy strawberries
Chilled soda water or sparkling water
Ice cubes
Cocktail muddler and a long bar spoon
| Ingredient | Regular Size (500ml) | Large Size (700ml) |
| Boba Buzz Strawberry Syrup | 45ml | 60ml |
| Fresh Lemon Slices | 2 to 3 slices | 3 to 4 slices |
| Fresh Mint Leaves | 3 leaves | 4 to 5 leaves |
| Fresh Strawberries | 1 large strawberry | 2 large strawberries |
| Strawberry Popping Boba | 1 scoop (~50g) | 1 scoop (~50g) |
| Chilled Soda / Sparkling Water | To top up | To top up |
| Ice | To fill cup | To fill cup |
| Garnishes | Fresh mint sprig, strawberry, lemon slice | Fresh mint sprig, strawberry, lemon slice |
| Optional Adult Twist | 1 shot (25ml - 50ml) of White Rum | 1 shot (25ml - 50ml) of White Rum |
In the bottom of your transparent serving cup or glass, pour your Boba Buzz Strawberry Flavoured Syrup. Drop in the fresh lemon slices, mint leaves, and the fresh strawberry. Take your cocktail muddler and press down firmly with a twisting motion.
⚠️ Barista Tip: Gently bruise the mint rather than shredding it into tiny pieces. You want to extract the bright, aromatic oils from the mint and the citrus juices from the lemon without creating a messy, un-drinkable pulp.
Pour a tiny splash of soda water (about 20–30ml) directly onto your muddled base. Use a bar spoon to quickly stir the dense syrup into the juices. This thins out the liquid just enough so that when you hand it to your customer, they can effortlessly mix the rest of the drink themselves.
Add a generous scoop of strawberry popping boba (the bursting fruit juice spheres match the mojito vibe perfectly). Next, fill the cup all the way to the top with ice cubes. (If you are serving an alcoholic version, pour your shot of white rum over the ice at this stage).
Slowly pour chilled soda water over the ice until the cup is full. For that premium, Instagram-worthy finish, garnish the top of the drink with a fresh mint sprig, a slice of lemon, and half a fresh strawberry resting on the rim. Serve with a dome lid or open glass with a wide straw!
Sparkling mocktails are incredible profit drivers. Because the bulk of the volume comes from carbonated water and ice, your cost per cup remains phenomenally low, while the inclusion of fresh mint and citrus allows you to charge a premium menu price. Utilising Boba Buzz Strawberry Syrup ensures the sweet berry baseline is consistent every single time.
